Are you passionate about supporting individuals in crisis and ensuring safe shelter environments? Catholic Charities of Wichita is seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to join our Harbor House team. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to make a meaningful impact during critical operating hours.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Respond to incoming calls and inquiries during overnight shifts.
  • Assess prospective clients for eligibility and admit them through established procedures.
  • Support shelter residents in their daily needs and ensure rooms are prepared for new arrivals.
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas and manage shelter laundry and supplies.
  • Monitor shelter safety, including security systems and incident reporting.
  • Prepare and serve meals, and log them appropriately.
  • Refer clients to outreach and community services as needed.
  • Attend required domestic violence trainings and enter service data into the system.

What You Need to Bring to The Table:

  • High school diploma required; degree in social work or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with victims of domestic violence is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and Microsoft products.
